The original design of these earrings came from Sonja Kiser. I kept the majority of the original design, making several small changes (like the length) but really only two major ones: (1) the nature of the drops and t(2) he length of the connector at the top of the spiral. I also was a bit more adventurous with the material for my spirals—using twisted half round wire for the sterling versions and two pieces of 26 gauge round twisted together for the gold filled versions. I used curb chain throughout, the sterling silver version actually diamond cut.
Here are three of the four pair. (One pair is still in its component pieces.)
These are my favorite of the three (four) pair. The drops on these are 10mm champagne colored Swarovski dice (my favorite bead) on a ball-end gold fill headpin and then topped with a 2mm gold fill bead. The gold fill earwires are my own special baby hooks that “grab” onto the ear.
Like the version with the Swarovski crystal dice the beads here are also on a ball end gold fill headpin but this time there’s no bead on top. As with the previous pair the gold fill earwires are my own special baby hooks that “grab” onto the ear.
This pair have sterling silver components. The “drop” is 3 iridescent purple beads. (The bead color doesn’t show well in the picture.) As before the earwires are my special baby hooks.
